We enter the story in the middle of a great big dungeon where you, our hero, who is a sturdy and heroic warrior, is resting after having walked and walked in the dusty, cold dungeon-air.
You are carrying a *short sword* in your hand, a *torch* in your other hand, and you are wearing a *leather armour*.
In your belt-bag, you have *10 gold coins* and a *mystical potion* you found in the last adventure. You also have *2 torches* in your belt.
You look around. This room is much as the others in this dungeon; rocky, dark and kinda musty. Behind you is the corridor you came from, in front you have a corridor to the left, and another corridor to the right.
What will you do, oh brave knight?
[[Enter the corridor on the left]]
[[Enter the right corridor]]The corridor is big enough for atleast two people, and fairly even. It must have been dug out by someone. Gradually it goes downwards, deeper into the mountain.
Eventually you spot a door at the end of the corridor. This is certainly been man-made! It seems pretty sturdy, and it is also locked, judging by the big padlock connecting the door with the wall.
If you have a *silver key*, you can [[unlock the door]].
Or you can...
[[Go back to the previous room]]
The corridor is quite small to start with, but it gets even more cramped as you go along.
(if: $goblin is not "dead")[You seem to hear a //distant cry//. It sounded vagely human.
]
After walking for a few more minutes, the corridor suddenly expands into a larger cave, perhaps 8-10 meters wide and 3 meters tall. In the middle of the cave you spot a makeshift bed made out of old rags, (if: $goblin is "dead")[ with the corpse of the creature you brutally murdered earlier.](if: $goblin is not "dead")[on which a grimy green creature with fanged teeth is sleeping. It looks as small as a small human boy, but its more compact and with a fair amount of muscle.]
As far as you can see, this is the only entrance to this room.
(if: $goblin is not "dead")[
Do you...]
[[Go back to the previous room]]
(if: $goblin is not "dead")[
[[Try talking to the creature]]
[[Attack the creature]] ]You say "ehhh hello there?", which wakes the creature up. It looks at you, looks behind you, shows you some kind of sign language, and goes back to sleep.
[[Go back to the previous room]]
[[Attack the creature]] You mouse over to the creature and ready your *short sword*. Roll a die. If you get 2 or more you [[slay the sleeping beast]]. If you roll a 1, [[you fumble]]You are back where you started.
This room is much as the others in this dungeon; rocky, dark and kinda musty. Behind you is the corridor you came from, in front you have a corridor to the left, and another corridor to the right.
What will you do now?
[[Enter the corridor on the left]]
[[Enter the right corridor]]With a gurgling death-noise, the creature's last breath exits its face.
Unfaced, you quickly steal its belt-bag, which contains *2 pieces of copper* and a *silver key*.
(set: $silverkey to true)
You are now standing in an empty cave-room, with just one entrance.
(set: $goblin to "dead")
[[Go back to the previous room]]Oh no! You stab at the creature, but miss! It wakes up and promptly injects a knife into your entrails. Ouch ouch ouch.
The end(if: $silverkey is not true)[Cheating bastard.]
You unlock the door with your (if: $silverkey is not true)[imaginary] *silver key*.
The door creaks as you push it into the great unknown...
...which turns out to be the same corridor you were already in.
You shrug, and continue walking.
After a while, your torch is about to burn out. Fortunately, you have another one. You transfer the fire to it before it is too late.
Finally, you end up in front of another door, but this one has no padlock...
You [[enter]] it.You push the door open, but something strange happens: you //fall through the door//! There was no door! It must have been a magic trick. A falling sensation makes you brace for a sharp landing, and you get your hands up just in time to avoid landing face first. You are pretty shook up. However, there is no time to think about what happened, because someone shouts at you!
"Aha haa! So another 'hero' has entered my dungeon, eh?"
You look up and see a green-skinned, large brute with large teeth and a sword in its hand. "Well, 'hero' " - he accents this with a wave of his fingers - "prepare to die!"
You barely have time to draw your sword before he charges at you.
Roll a die. You need a 5 or 6 to [[avoid being instakilled]]. Anything less means it's indeed [[time to die]].You jump to the side, just in time to avoid the orc-creature's sword hugging your neck.
You quickly get to your feet while the creature shifts his balance.
If you have a *magic wand of brutal death*, now would be a good time [[to use it]].
Else, you can [[attack the orc]] or [[focus on defence]].You die, with some orc-creature's sword through your neck. He laughs, while referring to you as 'hero'.
The endCheating, lying, dishonourable bastard.
Well you magic the thing to death. Happy? Jeez! I quit!
The endRoll a die. If you get a 6 you may [[slay the orc]]. If not, [[something bad happens]].You watch the orc's movement intensely. You are not going to let him take you by surprise, you think, just as some other sword enters your back. You look behind you, only to see a slightly smaller orc-creature attempting a smile. You curse your fate and try to think of something clever to say, but all you can bubble out is blood.
The endFantastic! You jump at the orc-creature and put your sword through his face before he has regained his balance. His eyes bulges in surprise and pain.
Roll a die. If you get a 5 or 6, you [[hear movement behind you]]. If not, [[something bad happens]].You instinctively fall to the floor, just as a small sword flies through where your torso just stood.
You get up and face another orc-creature, who is now holding a massive axe.
If you have a *power word kill scroll*, now would be a good time [[to use it]].
Else, you can [[take on the enemy with your sword]].You die, as some //other// orc-creature strikes their sword through the small of your back. You gradually become a pool of blood.
The endRoll a die. You're gonna need a 6 to [[kill the bastard]]. [[Anything less than that...]]Ok ok, mister master-of-the-dice. You do it! You swing your tiny sword quickly, before the orc-chief can even raise his axe, and you carve a - sign across his belly. Blood starts sprouting out, onto your *leather armour*, your boots and the floor. You win the game and I'm gonna have to look at your dice to see if they are legit. Grats!Yeah, the orc dodges your useless attack and swings his axe upon your *leather armour*, which is not up to the defensive task it was created for.
The end
